Sea Life (Grapevine, TX)

This place is inside the Grapevine Mills mall across from Legoland. It is mainly designed for kids. I'm not sure how big are the other Sea Life but this one is kind of small. It has many displays gearing towards kids only. Many of them have 360 degree viewing (see pictures). Kids love them. They do not have as many variety of sea animals as a regular aquarium. They do have sting rays (some are very large), a few different and strange sharks that I have not seen before, lots of 'Nemos' and 'Dorys' in one of the tanks on the second floor.

Over all, this is great for kids to spend from 1-2 hours. If you also get the Legoland pass, that would be perfect for the half a day.

Stingray Tank - It's a very large glass tank where you can see stingrays, sharks, eels and other fish. It has a small glass platform on the top that you can look down at the tank. Underneath the platform is a crawl space with 2 round glass that curve into the tank so that kids can have a 360 view of the tank.

Glass Tunnel - Cool but not great. It is 360 viewing meaning you're walking through a tunnel with glass bottom. Not as many fish/sharks and only half the size the one at the Dallas World Aquarium.

Touch Pool - You can touch a starfish, crab, sea urchin, or horseshoe crab here.
Note:
- Their website mentioned of a 'Giant Green Sea Turtle" but we didn't  see it. We were there on the preview day July 11, 2011.
- If you have Legoland annual pass, the Sea Life pass is only $40/person.
- If you do not plan to get the annual pass, buy the ticket online to get 15% off the tickets.
