Where do you go for Napolean cake? The answer is Main Street Bakery...for now. "Voila French Bakery Bistro" on Mcdermott Drive in Allen, TX used to make the BEST Napolean cake but they're no longer doing it. They said the guy who used to make the cake has left the bakery moving back to France. What a shame.
The Napolean cake from Main Street Bakery is not even close to Voila both in term of texture, taste (sweetness) and freshness but that's the only one I know of that does Napolean cake decent.
I'm still in search for a bakery that does Napolean cake batter than Main Street Bakery. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
