Celina Balloon Festival (Celina, TX)

We came to know about this event through Groupon when they offer $12 for 2 admission tickets plus free parking. I didn't expect much from the event when I made the purchase. After going there today, I was impressed for such a small city to organize it. It was actually well organized and fun for kids and some interesting things for adults. They have classic car show, Live bands, Carnival rides, Petting zoo, Helicopter rides ($30 each if you have 3 people or $75 for 2), laser light show, good food and art and craft vendors. The event was at the Old Celina Park so there were play area for kids to 'relax' after all the rides.

Everything was good except...there were no hot air balloons. Today was kind of windy so I guess they couldn't fly the balloons. We were a little disappointed. We call it a balloon-less balloon festival.
